According to Stop AAPI Hate, between March 19, 2020, to March 31, 2021, there have been 6,603 incident reports of hate towards Asian and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Of which, 10.3% are civil rights violations that include workplace harassment or discrimination. This current wave of hate crimes and non-violent incidences place organizational leaders in a position where maintaining psychological safety and workplace cohesiveness is vital.

From the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion participants will discover the following:
- An basic overview of the diversity and intersectionality in the U.S. Asian diaspora.
- A basic understanding of why and how the covid-19 global pandemic has led to a rise in racism and xenophobia towards Asians. As well as a basic understanding of anti-Asian racism in the U.S. context.
- Practical ways to take leadership around allyship and uplift the visibility and voices of Asians in the workplace.
